Rates for the program are as follows: 
 

 

2.5-5 years of age  $50/day 
4 days a week = $800.00
3 days a week = $600.00

2 days a week = $400.00

Each month families will be charged a flat rate for the

month depending on the number of days needed for

care.  Fees are based on booked days, not attendance,

therefore parents are responsible for fees whether child attends or not.  

Payment is due in full by the end of each month. Payments can be made via email transfer, made payable to Departure Bay Children’s Centre. Those parents with more than one child can decide to divide payments into two equal amounts for the 1st and the 15th of the month.  
 

Affordable Child Care Benefit

The Affordable Child Care Benefit Program is run by the Provincial Government and it’s designed to assist families with daycare costs. It will replace Child Care Subsidy as of September 2018. The new benefit is available to families with incomes up to $111,000/year. This program might not pay the entire childcare fee, therefor the families are expected to pay the balance.

Childcare Fee Reduction Initiative

Our centre has opted into this new program by the Provincial government.  Each month the cost of care will be deducted depending on the age of your child and number of days a week the child is enrolled.  

Absenteeism and Late Fees

You must inform the centre if your child will be sick or away from the centre.  Late fees of $ 5.00 per minute apply to parents who fail to pick children up by 4:30 pm. Please call the centre to let us know if you will be late.
